Accreditation for Karamsad hospital

Shree Krishna Hospital, a part of H M Patel Centre for Medical Care and Education at Karamsad in Anand district, has been accredited by National Accreditation Board of Hospital and Healthcare Organizations (NABH).

VADODARA/ ANAND: Shree Krishna Hospital, a part of H M Patel Centre for Medical Care and Education at Karamsad in Anand district, has been accredited by National Accreditation Board of Hospital and Healthcare Organizations (NABH).
According to Charutar Arogya Mandal, the trust that manages the hospital, the hospital is the only one in Gujarat and the west zone to have all its healthcare services accredited under NABH.

Earlier, in 2008, the hospital was acknowledged with the accreditation of Central Diagnostic Laboratories, making it the first medical college in the country with all laboratories accredited.
Later in 2011, A D Gorwala Blood Bank and the radio-diagnosis center at the hospital were recognized under NABH.
"In order to create a rural medical facility that is equipped with same level of healthcare expertise and facilities as in the cities, it is important to have systems that guarantee quality and excellence. The NABH accreditation is an affirmation of our belief in quality," said chairman of Charutar Arogya Mandal Amrita Patel.
NABH is a board that is established to cater to the changing needs of consumers and to set milestone in the health industry. The hospitals are accredited after assessing the quality of health care services they provide.
The Karamsad-based hospital, which also serves as a teaching hospital for Pramukhswami Medical College, is now a part of 227 hospitals out 25,000 across the country that have been acknowledged by NABH.
