Vadodara: At least 50 persons were arrested after the city police busted a gambling den near Nyay Mandir on Friday evening. The police received a tip off regarding the activity following which raided the place.
The accused were picked up from Narmada Gymkhana private limited in Hanuman Faliyu.
"The accused have been handed over to Wadi police who will file an FIR against the accused," said DCP north Leena Patil.The Gymakhana is owned by Iqbal Sheikh.
Sources said that it was operated gambling activity with subscriptions on monthly basis. The Gymkhana catered to select persons.
The police is evaluating the goods recovered from the spot.
On March 22, two persons were arrested by the city police from a residence in Shree Vallabhnagar society for illegally trading shares.TNN
