UDAIPUR: The Udaipur police on Tuesday arrested a man for allegedly kidnapping and dragging more than 40 students into illegal activities. The accused targeted the school and coaching center students, lured them into drugs.
The accused blackmailed them and forced them to carry out illegal activities including robbery. The incident came to light when parents of two minors lodged a complaint in Goverdhanvilas police station of Udaipur about the unusual activities of their sons.
Based on the complaint, police carried out an investigation and arrested the accused Gajendra Rathore (25) on Tuesday.
According to Udaipur SP Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav, the modus operandi of the accused was to first lure the school student into various activities that included providing them expensive phones and earning money through online trading.
