: The much-awaited broad gauge conversion of Mavli-Marwar railway line is likely to become a reality soon. The gauge conversion project which was on a back burner for many years would soon be cleared as the railway board has asked the
North Western Railway
to send the report at the earliest for preparation of
DPR
for approval of 170-km gauge conversion of Mavli-Marwar project.
There were several impediments in this project because of which the project could not progress towards approval on time, after meeting with the railway officials and discussions with the entrepreneurs of the
Lok Sabha
constituency, it was agreed to provide freight support in this project,which in turn would improve the income of the railways.

, MP from Rajsamand, said that after removing all the hurdles in Mavli-Marwar gauge conversion, the railway board has called for DPR from the North Western Railway to approve this project. Soon this project will be approved and visible on the ground. It is an ambitious project and this rail line will prove to be a lifeline for the people of the area.
She said, “I express my gratitude to the Centre on behalf of the people of the region and the country. They have understood the problems of the people of the state and region and given their approval to bring this project on ground.”
