Trichy zone gets CII award

Trichy: The CII Tamil Nadu state annual meeting 2025-26 conducted in Chennai on Saturday presented the CII Tamil Nadu Chairman's Commendation award to the Trichy zone for proactive participation in promoting the mission and values of CII in the region.The IMPACT framework (inclusivity, multidimension, policy advocacy, action oriented, connectivity, and talent & academic) pursued by the Trichy zone to promote entrepreneurship and boost employment opportunities was cited as the reason for the recognition. The report, ‘Discover Trichy', aimed at attracting Global Capability Centers (GCCs) to Trichy was also cited as a reason for the recognition. "Launching of the Indian Women Network (IWN), a dedicated vertical to empower women entrepreneurs, and conduct of district connect in all eight districts in the region played a vital role in getting the recognition. A mega job fair was also conducted," Ajay Jayaraj, past Chairman, CII Trichy, said.CII Trichy has 117 members, maintaining a retention rate of 99% for the financial year 2025-26.
