People will lose benefits if AIADMK comes to power: Jawahirullah
Trichy: President of Manithaneya Makkal Katchi and Nagapattinam assembly constituency candidate, M H Jawahirullah, lauded the DMK government's flagship welfare schemes such as Magalir Urimai Thogai, Magalir Vidiyal Payanam, and Naan Mudhalvan, and warned that people could lose these benefits if the AIADMK is voted to power.Addressing a gathering in Nagapattinam on Wednesday, Jawahirullah said, "These beneficial schemes will be discontinued if the AIADMK-BJP alliance comes to power. They will also indulge in actions that erode Tamil Nadu's rights. People must understand this reality and vote wisely."On Wednesday, Nagapattinam district DMK secretary and Tamil Nadu Fisheries Development Corporation chairperson N Gowthaman introduced Jawahirullah, along with Kilvelur candidate Latha Thangamani of the CPM, and Vedaranyam candidate M M Pugazhendhi to the alliance party members.Earlier on Tuesday evening, Jawahirullah condemned the Union govt for increasing toll fees from April 1, and described it as an unnecessary burden on the common man. "There are already serious allegations that several toll plazas in the state were established in violation of norms. This toll hike will inevitably lead to higher prices for essential commodities and increased bus fares, eventually affecting the common man," he stated.Jawahirullah accused the Union govt of repeatedly betraying the people of Tamil Nadu. "People will deliver a fitting lesson to them in the upcoming assembly election," he declared.
