Land belonging to Rockfort temple retrieved

Trichy: Land belonging to the Arulmigu Thayumanaswamy Temple (Rockfort) in Trichy was retrieved from encroachment in Palanganamgudi village following a court order.Acting on the court order, officials took possession of 0.62 cents of land. The retrieval was carried in the presence of temple authorities, including the temple executive officer, along with staff, revenue officials, police personnel, the village administrative officer, and a land surveyor. Officials said the current market value of the recovered land is estimated at around 4 lakh. The action is part of ongoing efforts to reclaim temple properties from illegal occupation in the region.
