Trichy: A two-day international conference on advances in computational biology across scales for life and health sciences (AI Life 2026) was organised by SASTRA Deemed University, Thanjavur. The conference, which concluded on Saturday highlighted the increasing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) and computational tools in modern life sciences research. Ramana V Davuluri of Stony Brook Medicine, State University of New York, delivered the keynote address on data analysis. Yogesh S Shouche of SKAN Research Trust and the National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS), Pune, spoke on gut microbiome variation across biogeographies, while Karthik Raman of IIT Madras spoke about networks, models and AI for omics data analysis.
