Houses, shop of 2 ‘sympathisers of ISIS’ in Trichy searched

Trichy: Police carried out searches at the places of two ‘ISIS sympathisers’ at Inamkulathur on Saturday. The teams searched the houses of R Shahul Hameed on Middle Street and S Sarfuddin of Kandasamy Nagar in Inamkulathur. Search was also conducted at SAS Net Café belonging to Sarfuddin on Big Bazaar Street. Sources said the search was conducted based on information that the two were in possession of explosives. No seizure was made during the four-hour search. Police said the search was part of the statewide vigil by the department in the wake of the car cylinder blast in Coimbatore on October 23.TNN
