27-yr-old woman patient goes missing from Trichy GH

Trichy: A 27-year-old woman undergoing treatment at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital (MGMGH) in Trichy has gone missing.According to the govt hospital police, the missing woman, Dhivya, from Marungapuri in Trichy district, was admitted to the labour ward on March 25. Police said Dhivya was five months pregnant and had undergone a medically advised termination. She had a history of epilepsy and was continuing treatment at the hospital prior to her disappearance, police said. Around 2.30pm on Saturday, Dhivya reportedly left the ward and did not return. Hospital staff later alerted her husband Mathiyazhagan, 30, who lodged a police complaint. Police registered a "woman missing" case. A team led by inspector Sulochana is investigating the case.
