16 arrested for selling lottery tickets

Trichy: The district police arrested 16 people during a special drive against the banned lottery tickets on Monday. The arrested were M Kumar, 63, K Manickam, 45, M Saravanan, 60, K Periyasamy, 65, V Shanmugam, 34, K Rajendran, 45, R Natarajan, 71, P Rajinikanth, 41, S Srinivasan, 37, G Sundar, 48, P Pandiayarajan, 43, M Ponnusamy, 55, K Veerakumar, 35, M Arunpandiyan, 29, and S Palanivel, 50. During the drive, the Somarasampettai police arrested K Srinivsan, 31, at Allithurai, for selling banned online lottery tickets. They were later released on station bail. tnn
