Women's Wall highlights: Massive turnout in Kerala for equal rights
Lakhs of women from various walks of life participated in shoulder-to-shoulder parade called Women's Wall in Kerala on Tuesday. The 620-km-long state-sponsored campaign stretching from the northern tip of Kasaragod to the southern end is aimed at gender equality and renaissance values. Here are the highlights:
* Brinda Karat, Annie Raja addresse volunteers at Thiruvananthapuram
* The event is over, the leaders are now addressing public gatherings in various parts of the state
* A parallel 'Solidarity Wall' formed by male writers and cultural activists in support of 'Women's Wall' event at Muthalakkulam in Kozhikode
* After the formation of the wall, a public meeting is being organised at Edappally
* Kerala has scripted history. This is a message to the whole India: Brinda Karat
* CM Pinarayi Vijayan supports the campaign by joining volunteers at Vellayambalam
* Health minister KK Shailaja becomes the first link of the wall, CPM PB member Brinda Karat positioned as the final link at Vellayambalam
