Seven missing cases reported in district in a day

Thiruvananthapuram: Six people were reported missing from various parts of the city on Tuesday, in addition to the missing case of a 13-year-old girl belonging to a migrant family residing at Kazhakkoottam. The total missing cases registered on Tuesday was seven, including a person with learning difficulties, two elderly persons, and three young women.
Two missing person cases were reported in Kazhakkoottam and Valiyathura police stations, each, and one each at Poojappura, Poonthura, and Sreekaryam stations. Investigation is on in all cases after registering cases under section 57 of the Kerala Police Act.
In Kazhakkoottam police station, a missing case was registered as Preetha, 31, of Chempazhanthy went missing from her house in the morning. But she was later traced to her relative's house at Kottarakkara.
Annamma C V, 64, of Ayanivila Veedu at Kulathummal went missing from near SK Hospital at Edapazhanji in the morning. Her relatives later filed a missing case at Poojappura police station. Abdul Hakeem, 58, of We One Nagar at Ambalathara went missing from home at 10:30am. According to his family, he is someone with learning difficulties and Poonthura police started a probe in the case with the help of CCTV visuals.
At Valiyathura police station two missing cases — of 21-year-old Alfiya, a Vallakadavu native, and Justin, 60, of Helan House at Shanghumugham — were reported. Alfiya went missing in the evening and Justin has been missing since morning. Meanwhile, Vaishnavi, 23, of Pattavilakam went missing from her husband's house at Chempazhanthy. Sreekaryam police began a probe after registering a case.
