Kerala polls: Revanth Reddy attacks Pinarayi Vijayan at Nemom roadshow

Thiruvananthapuram: Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy grabbed attention at a roadshow when he tweaked a popular punch dialogue from a Mohanlal film to take on chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan. "Nee po mone Vijaya," said Reddy, as a crowd cheered during the roadshow held in support of UDF candidate K S Sabarinathan in Nemom constituency on Wednesday.

Addressing Congress workers, Reddy launched a sharp attack on Vijayan, claiming that his "expiry date" was over and asserting that UDF would come to power in the state.

He also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that both Modi and Vijayan are "like brothers" who together harmed Kerala. Reddy urged voters to "teach a lesson" to what he termed the "Modi brothers," saying that voting for Vijayan would be equivalent to supporting Modi in Delhi, as "there is no difference between them."

Further, he claimed that both leaders do not want Congress and Rahul Gandhi to succeed in Kerala, alleging that there is an understanding between the two sides to exchange votes.

The roadshow, held at Ambalathara, was also attended by Congress leader Deepa Dasmunsi, adding to the campaign momentum. Reddy also attended election conventions at Bharathannur in Vamanapuram constituency and Poovachal and Vellanadu in Kattakada constituency.
