Sabarimala protest deepens as Hindu outfits hit the streets
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The outrage over the Supreme Court verdict on Sabarimala continues to grow as hundreds took to the streets in different places across the state on Wednesday. The ‘Rama Japa Prarthana Yanjam’ was organized in 200 centres in the state.

In Thrissur, people assembled at temples and marched towards Swaraj Round, where Swamy Purushothamananda Saraswathi inaugurated the road blockade. In Kozhikode, thousands of women and children attended the prayer meeting at Palayam Junction. Apart from this, the Hindu Aikya Vedi conducted prayer meetings.
About 17 organizations have joined hands to protest against the Supreme Court verdict.
The BJP launched its long march to Thiruvananthapuram from Pandalam on Wednesday. The march is being led by BJP state president P S Sreedhran Pillai demanding a legislation by the state government to bypass the Supreme Court verdict. The march will reach the state capital on October 15.
Hindu organizations are planning Jelikettu-like protest in the coming days and they have decided to intensify the prayer meetings in all districts

The Supreme Court order could have been peacefully implement by the state government and the TDB. Women who wanted to make the pilgrimage would have done so and those who are #readytowait would have waited.
