Thiruvananthapuram: As many as 11 police officers from the state have been selected for the President’s police medals being conferred on the
eve of the Republic Day.
SP (state special branch Thrissur range) Ammose Mamman has been selected for the president’s police medal for distinguished service. As many as 10 officers from the state have been selected for the President’s police medals for the meritorious service.
The awardees include IGs P Prakash and Anup Kuruvilla John. While Prakash is IG, intelligence, Anup Kuruvilla John is on central deputation serving in the
research and analysis wing.
Other officers who have been selected for meritorious service medals include K K Moideenkutty (SP crimes, Kozhikode), Shamsudeen S (DSP, vigilance and anti-corruption bureau, Palakkad), G L Ajith Kumar (DSP, state special branch Thiruvananthapuram city detachment), K V Pramodan (inspector, vigilance and anti-corruption bureau, Kannur), P R Rajendran (sub-inspector, Kerala Police Academy), CPK Bijulal (grade sub-inspector, state special branch, Kannur), K Muraleedharan Nair (grade sub-inspector, special investigation unit-2, VACB) and Aparna Lavakumar (grade ASI, cybercrime police station, Thrissur city).
