Pope Francis praises Sree Narayana Guru’s universal message at all religions conference

Vatican: Catholic Church head Pope Francis said the message of Sree Narayana Guru was pertinent today as the world witnesses growing instances of intolerance and hatred between people and nations. He was addressing the ‘All Religions Conference' organised by Sivagiri Mutt in Vatican City on Saturday, to mark the centenary of an event organised under the same name by Sree Narayana Guru in Aluva, Kochi.
"...The theme chosen for the conference, ‘Religions Together for a Better Humanity', is indeed quite relevant and important for our times. Sree Narayana Guru dedicated his life to promoting a social and religious awakening with his clear message that all human beings, regardless of their ethnicity or religious and cultural traditions, are members of a single human family," Pope said in his address.
"Discrimination, exclusion, and violence over differences in ethnicity, social origin, race, colour, language, and religion have become a daily affair. Drawing from the spiritual truths and values that we have in common, yet firmly rooted in and committed to our own religious beliefs and convictions, may we walk together and work together to build a better humanity," Pope said in his address.
