Kerala: Body of one of the three missing fishermen washed ashore

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Body of one of the three fishermen who went missing off the coast of

Neendakara

was washed ashore on Anchuthengu beach Sunday morning.

Police identified the deceased as Sahaya Raju (30), a resident of Neerodi, Tamil Nadu. His body was found on the shore by local fishermen around 7.30am and they alerted the police. John Paul, a relative of Sahaya Raju came from Tamil Nadu and identified the body, which has been kept at

Chirayinkeezhu

hospital.


Sahaya Raju was part of the five-member crew who set off for fishing in their boat from Neendakara on Friday. Their boat had reportedly capsized in the rough sea. Two of them swam back to safety, while the other went missing since Friday.

A search has been going on to trace the three fishermen when the body of Sahaya Raju was beached on Sunday.

on Saturday returned safely to the shore after they had gone missing in the sea. Two of them are currently admitted to Medical College.
