Lijo Jose Pellissery are set to have their first show at the Tagore Theatre.
‘Our Mothers’ by Ceaser Diaz, Ahmed Ghossein’s ‘All this Victory’ and ‘Aani Maani’ by Fahim Irshaad will have their second screening at Dhanya Theatre. Meanwhile, Allan Deberton’s ‘Paccarette’, Brett Michael Innes’ ‘Fiela's Child’ and Michael Idov’s ‘The Humorist’ will have their final shows on Tuesday.
A total of 29 films in the World Cinema category are scheduled to be screened on Tuesday and the films include Jayro Bustamante’s masterpiece ‘Tremors’, which questions the social elements that stand against homosexuality. ‘Hellaro’ by Abhisekh Shah, ‘Anandi Gopal’ by Sameer Vidwan and ‘Without Strings’ by Atanu Ghosh are the movies in the Indian Cinema Now Category. Seven movies in the Malayalam Cinema Today category will also be screened.
Veteran actress Sarada during an ‘in conversation’ programme on Monday advised the new generation actors to concentrate more on the ‘acting’ profession as there are a lot more distractions in the current day digital world.
She said she learnt the craft of natural acting by working in the Malayalam cinema industry.
Talking about how she got in to films at a young age, she gave all the credit to her mother for showing much enthusiasm for making her a ‘big star in the cine world’.
Film critic Pradeep Biswas spoke in memory of Mrinal Sen. Biswas shared his experiences of the 57 years he spent in the film industry with Sen. He spoke about the life and politics of Sen in his 28 films and 2 documentaries. A letter written in 1991 by Sen to his friend and cinematographer K K Mahajan was read out by Mahajan's wife Prabha Mahajan.
