<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In all, 57 films representing 40 countries would be screened in the ''World Cinema'' section of the Ninth International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) to be held here from December 10 to December 17.<br /><br />The IFFK would feature a competition section for films from Asian and Latin American countries besides having homage, retrospective, India Cinema, and Malayalam Cinema sections, a festival press release here said.
Three acclaimed films from Europe, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Good bye Lenin</span>, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Head On</span>, <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Another Woman</span> and <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Journey to Jerusalem</span> from Israel would be the highlights of the world cinema section.<br /><br />Bangladeshi film <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">The Alienation</span> would be premiered at the festival. Other films in the World Cinema section include <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">The Cousins </span>(France), <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Little Girl Blue </span>(Switzerland), <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">The Missing </span>(Taiwan), <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Peter Families </span>(Italy), <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Champions </span>(Czech), <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Pretty Big Feet </span>(China), <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Nagme </span>(Iran), <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">The Seventh Day </span>(Spain/France) and <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Beat of the Drum </span>(South Africa).</div> </div>
