T'PURAM: In a suspected case of suicide, a 24-year-old Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer working at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, was found dead on the railway track at Chackai on Monday.The deceased was identified as Megha M, daughter of Madhusoodanan, a native of Pathanamthitta. Pettah Police registered a case and concluded it was a suicide, as the preliminary probe revealed she was under depression. According to police, passengers at Pettah railway station found the body around 9.30am on the railway track between Chackai and Pettah. A probe has been initiated to determine the reason for the death.The police said Megha left work after completing her shift on Monday morning. Megha joined as an officer at the airport a year ago. According to statements given by her colleagues, she appeared depressed for quite some time. The body was shifted to the morgue of the medical college hospital, and a post-mortem examination was conducted. The body was later handed over to the relatives, police said.
