Governor Khan calls CPM state secretary a ‘johnny’
T'puram: The fight between governor AM Khan and CPM continued with Khan referring to party state secretary MV Govindan as a ‘johnny'. While commenting on the statement made by Govindan that Khan is a caretaker governor, he said, "I'm not ready to respond to any ‘johnnies' and will deal only directly with the CM." When asked if he will submit a report to the President about gold smuggling/ hawala funds being used for anti-national activities, he said, "That I'm not ready to discuss with you."
Khan, who summoned the police chief and the chief secretary to explain CM's remark, later made it clear that no official will be allowed at Raj Bhavan as they failed to turn up following govt order.
Khan later issued a clarification that ‘some reports gave a wrong impression that officers will not be welcome at Raj Bhavan'. "To a query regarding the chief secretary and DGP being directed by CM not to go to Raj Bhavan for a briefing, the governor said, officers used to come for official matters without govt nod and he used to entertain them. Now, for official matters, they will be welcome with CM's authorization," said a statement from Raj Bhavan, adding that for personal matters, officials are always welcome.
