ALAPPUZHA: A father and his son were killed in an accident on NH-66 in
Alappuzha
on Sunday after their two-wheeler got trapped between a truck and mini bus.
The deceased have been identified as K Babu, 61, Vadackal and his son Ajith, 28.
The north police station sub-inspector G Ajithkumar said that the accident took place when the driver of the truck applied sudden brake after he saw a cat on the road. “Then their two-wheeler rear ended the truck and the mini bus also rear ended the bike. They were going to the house of the would be of Ajith and their wedding was fixed in the coming April,” he said.
Ushakumari is the wife of Babu and his younger son is Arun Babu. The bodies were shifted to the morgue of Alappuzha Medical College Hospital.
