CPI questions education minister C Raveendranath’s sincerity

. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader A K Antony asked chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan to hold talks with the agitating students to end the stalemate.

CPI leader Pannyan Raveendran slammed the education minister for walking out of the meeting convened to resolve the KLA crisis. He said that the meeting was a stage managed one and the education minister was not serious in settling the issues raised the students.

He also criticised the SFI for withdrawing from the strike against the college management. “The education minister walked out of the meeting for the sake of the stand taken by the SFI. The education minister should not think that this agitation will end just to satisfy the ego of SFI,” said Raveendran.

who is on a hunger strike before the college, Antony said that it is high time that the chief minister intervened in the issue.

Muraleedharan had to begin the hunger strike since he has realised that the students of the Law Academy are not going to get justice from the state government. “The Congress has not tried to politicise the strike by the students like others,” he said.

Antony also praised the girl students who have come to the forefront of the agitation. “ I strongly believe that the agitation by the students will succeed,” said Antony.

Meanwhile, the BJP has also decided to strengthen the agitation despite the Law Academy management deciding to close down the college indefinitely. Party leader V V Rajesh is observing an indefinite hunger strike before the college seeking the resignation of the principal.
