3 districts get new collectors

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: New district collectors have been appointed in Kozhikode, Palakkad and Idukki. The cabinet on Wednesday decided to appoint N Prasanth, private secretary to home minister Ramesh Chennithala, as the new collector of Kozhikode. Kerala Land Board secretary P Marykutty will be the new Palakkad collector and Consumerfed managing director V Ratheesan Idukki collector.
Alok Sheel, who is back from central deputation, will be the new additional chief secretary for planning and economic affairs. Kozhikode collector C A Latha will take over as director of panchayats and Palakkad collector K Ramachandran will be the new land board secretary. He will hold the additional charge of legal metrology controller and KSERC director.
Hari Nair, who works as additional secretary in government secretariat, will be the new private secretary to Ramesh. tnn
