Paper bunting, adventure sports & mascots ruled Happy Streets

THANE: Sunday's Happy Streets saw a beeline of kids waiting for their turn to play various fun games and win a prize at the creative arena at

Vijay Suraksha Art Zone

. The anchor of the event had a tough time managing the crowd as he had to split the activities into various groups to offer a fair chance to the hundreds of participants in the queue. Among all, the making of window buntings stole the show where parents were seen lending a helping hand to their kids to prepare colouful paper chain from the material provided by

Vijay Group

and Suraksha Realty.

“I was amazed to see an adrenaline rush at the paper bunting workshop. We were given a brief slot to play creative games. It was worthwhile to be part of Happy Streets for the first time,“ said 11-year-old Vasant Vihar resident, Ankit Yadav, who was accompanied by four of his friends. Besides the paper decoration workshop, the event also had games and quiz.

Two colourful mascots named

Chhota Bheem

and

Mighty Raju

entertained the crowd at the TOI mainstage. Following the dance performance of the duo, kids were engaged in clicking selfies and pictures with the live mascots.

Kids tried their hands at ladder climbing. Besides, people from all age groups took up yoga lessons from Patanjali yoga instructor
