Man held for killing kid gets police custody

THANE: A man arrested on Tuesday for the murder of a 10-year-old child was produced in the Thane sessions court on Wednesday. The court remanded the accused in police custody for five days.
The accused, Kiran Tambe (30), allegedly slit the throat of Rahul Chauhan in Diva.
Tambe fractured his leg when he tried to flee the crime scene.
The murder of Rahul Chauhan sent shock waves among the citizens after the murder.Rahul was the second son of Mamta and Mukesh Chauhan. The elder son works with a retail outlet while his mother works as a maid in the nearing flats while his father is unemployed.
Investigating officer, Shailendra Nagarkar informed that the younger brother of the deceased has been made and eye witness who had followed the Tambe taking the victim to terrace. The six-year-old younger brother of Rahul saw the whole incident in which Tambe allegedly carried a vegetable knife slit the throat and flunged the body from the terrace which hit the electric pole and landed on the ground with a bang on Monday at around 8.30 pm in the dark due to power cut.
The motive behind the murder according to police was to take revenge of a tiff that ensued a day before between the accused and the deceased's father on Sunday.
Nagar said, "Lucky, the younger brother of the Rahul went to see the tiff of the Tambe and his wife on a pity issue. Tambe then told Lucky to go away and that he should not interfere in the house matters of others. However, Lucky was adamant to leave while Tambe tried to shoe him away he grasped his hand while holding the belt in other hand."
"At that point of time the father of the victim Mukesh Chauhan came out of his flat and his younger son with Tambe and assumed that Tambe is beating his younger son and then had a big quarrel while the neighbours intervened and told the sort the scuffle and told Tambe to evacuate the flat which was on rent," added Nagarkar.
Incensed by the insult Tambe swore to teach Chauhan a lesson and murdered the Rahul on terrace.
