Kalyan: 3 drown after falling into well, two rescuers also dead

KALYAN: Five people were drowned after falling into a well in Kalyan on Thursday. The well is situated inside Bhima Shankar Temple premises. Temple trustee Rahul Goswami had called a labourer to clean the well.

The labourer did not come out after he went into the well. Rahul went looking for him but he too drowned in the process. Rahul's father Gunwant Goswami also went into the well to rescue his son but he too died.

team brought out the bodies of all the five victims from the well.

Talking about the incidence, Sanjay Shinde, deputy commissioner of police, Zone 3 of Thane said, "Prima facie it looks all five died after inhaling some gas or chemical inside the well"
