On May 7, the police had recovered a dead body of one Akshay Balu Dalvi on the side of the bridge at Olanda in Mokhadane village of Shahapur. The Kasara police had registered an offence and had put out an appeal in the social media about the incident.
Investigators had then grabbed the footage from the CCTV in the area and zeroed in on the two suspects and prepared the sketch of the duo for circulation.
Mumbra police personnel spotted the two at the railway station recently and suspected that something was amiss. On closer observation it was suspected that the sketches of the two accused circulated by the Kasara police matched their appearance and they were immediately apprehended.
