Surat: The water level of
Ukai Dam is expected to swell by Sunday morning following the release of four lakh cusec water from the Hatnur dam upstream in Maharashtra due to heavy rain.
All 41 gates of Hatnur dam have been fully opened and the discharge was maintained till Saturday evening.
The dam level on Saturday evening was 339.11 feet. The rule level at Ukai is 345 feet and this is the maximum water storage capacity.
“Water from Hatnur will start flowing in Ukai from Sunday morning. By 5pm, the level of Ukai is likely to reach 342 feet,” said a dam official
