Surat: An 8-year-old boy was hit by a speeding car in the BRTS lane at of Dabholi crossroad on Wednesday morning. The boy was reportedly taken to the hospital by locals. However, till late evening, police were unable to identify the victim or the driver of the car.
A CCTV footage from the nearby camera shows a boy being hit by a car and flung four feet away around 10.30 am on Wednesday.
He was hit on his head and face. His mother was a little away and she is seen lifting him. Reportedly, the boy was on his way to home from school.
Chowk Bazaar police don't have any information about the incident. PI M R Nakum said, "We sent a team immediately after we were informed about the incident but by then no one was there. Locals don't know the victim's identity."
V S Patel, PSI who went to the spot, said, "We have received absolutely no information about the victim."
