SGCCI to host food, agritech exhibition from March 1
Surat: The South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) is organising a food and agritech expo in the city from March 1. The three-day exhibition, the first of its kind effort to boost the region’s agriculture sector will be held at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC) at Sarsana. About 135 exhibitors from the horticulture, floriculture, food and agro-tech sectors in Surat and south Gujarat will be participating in it.
SGCCI president, Hetal Mehta said, “South Gujarat belt is emerging as a business hub for agriculture, horticulture and floriculture. Such exhibitions will help the farmers gain good value for their products as well as give fillip to PM Modi’s vision of doubling farmers’ income by 2020.” Mehta further said that the exhibition’s first edition will also provide golden business opportunities to young entrepreneurs from the city in the agri processing sector.
