Keep away from Congress, PAAS tells members

SURAT: While Congress may have extended support to Patidar's reservation demand, the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) has advised its members to avoid joining Congress leaders during election campaigning .
Dharmik Malaviya, co-convener of PAAS, Surat, said, "We had joined hands with Congress as there was no option. But we don't want Congress to hijack our agitation. So we have advised all leaders to stay away from the party and not to be seen with their leaders."
Meanwhile, PAAS has formed an 11-member committee to run the show till Hardik Patel gets bail.
The committee consists of Dilip Suabava from Botad, Lalit Vasoya, Atul Patel and Pragnesh Patel from Ahmedabad, Ahmed Patel from Siddhpur, Kirit Patel from Patan, Ravi Patel from Himmatnagar, Suresh Patel from Mehsana and Ketan Patel from Junagadh apart from Nikhil Savani of Surat.
PAAS called a press conference to clear their stand on Congress support after no Patidar leader was seen alongside the party's legal cell convener Babu Mangukiya during Congress candidate's public meeting.
