NEW DELHI: Several schools received bomb threat emails on Wednesday morning, causing panic among students and parents before authorities declared them false alarms.
Police teams, along with bomb disposal squads, were rushed to the schools after alerts were raised. While the buildings were thoroughly searched and students moved to safe areas in some institutions, no explosives were found.
Parents scrambled to contact schools and pick up their children amid the chaos. “We are trying to trace the IP address of the sender and coordinating with police in other states that received similar threats,” an officer said.
Two private schools in Agra also received similar threats. Earlier, bomb hoax emails were sent to Himachal Pradesh’s High Court, district courts, DC offices, and the state secretariat.
