Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee president and former MP Pratibha Singh on Wednesday urged the party leaders, including former office bearers of the HPCC, to make the event to be held in Bilaspur on Dec 11 on the completion of two years of the Congress govt in the state a historic one.
Pratibha Singh said the Congress govt, in this event, would present its report card of two years before the people of the state and would also expose the conspiracies of the BJP.
She said on Dec 11, it would also be revealed how the previous BJP govt ruined the state’s economy. The Congress govt in the state had to face numerous challenges during these two years, the state Congress chief added.
Pratibha Singh said it was important to note how the Congress govt provided relief to the affected people of the state despite the state not getting any financial help from the central govt during natural disasters.
“The Congress govt also overcame the conspiracy hatched by the BJP to destabilise the Congress govt in the state. The assembly byelections were forced on the state, in which the BJP had to face the defeat,” she added.
Despite not getting any financial help from the central govt, the Congress-led state govt is fully committed to fulfilling its election guarantees and is fulfilling these in a systematic manner, she said.
The saffron party is trying to fulfill its political interests by ignoring the interests of the state, which is very unfortunate, she added.
