Himachal Police have registered a case in this connection after a complaint from Madan Puri, a resident of

Una district

, Thakur's parliamentary constituency.

Sarvjeet Singh, officer in-charge of Sadar police station, confirmed the development.

“We have registered a case under section 67 of IT ACT in this regard. Investigation is on but no one has been arrested till now,” he said.



It was on Wednesday this week that the BJP MP had uploaded his selfie with promotional hoodie of BJP. Prime minister Narendera Modi tweeted it saying looking good, to which Anurag Thakur again tweeted it expressing thanks for the compliment. The selfie tweet received 6,992 likes and was re-weeted for 1448 times till Thursday noon.
