HP govt staff to get next salary on Oct 28, 3 days ahead of Diwali
Kullu: Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday said all state boards and corporations have been asked to release the salaries and pensions of all past and present employees on Oct 28, three days ahead of Diwali.
Serving govt staff are paid on the fifth of every month and pensioners on the 10th.
The govt decision is set to benefit approximately 50,000 employees and pensioners of all boards and corporations.
The CM made the announcement after meeting a delegation of Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board (HPSPCB), which presented a cheque of Rs 2 crore to him for CM’s relief fund.
The CM said the state govt had also decided to release an additional 4% dearness allowance (DA) to all govt employees, effective from Jan 1, 2023.
Pending arrears under the Sixth Pay Commission would also be released to all HPSPCB employees, he added.
