Himachal Pradesh: Murder bid FIR for coronavirus spread

DHARAMSHALA: In the first such case in Himachal Pradesh, a Chamba truck driver was booked for attempt to murder for infecting his two-year-old daughter and three other persons with Covid-19. The man who is admitted in a Covid care centre of Chamba was booked on Wednesday.
Superintendent of police Monika Bhutungru confirmed that an FIR under this section was registered against the driver.

After returning from Baddi area of Himachal, the Chamba man had held a booze party with his three friends.
The man tested positive on May 5 during random sampling while his two friends and daughter were confirmed virus-positive later.
