Shimla: Himachal Pradesh CM
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday promised to clear all pending dues of Himachal Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC) employees before March 31 next year.
Sukhu said HRTC has completed 50 years in the service of the people of the hill state and the govt will ensure that it serves them for the next 50 years as well. “We don’t know what the previous BJP govt has done. HRTC employees have been awaiting their night and overtime allowance for the last 55 months,” he added, accusing the BJP of shifting its responsibility to the next govt.
He, however, promised that the present Congress govt will clear all their dues. “A total of Rs 9 crore will be disbursed to the HRTC employees. Besides, in view of Diwali, the HRTC employees will also get their salary for the month of Oct on the 28th of this month,” he said.
The CM said he would make more employee-friendly announcements on Monday after a few meetings with different govt depts.
