Dera chief's court appearance affects 200 bus routes in Himachal Pradesh

SHIMLA: In the wake of

Dera Sacha Sauda chief

’s appearance before Panchkula court,

Himachal Road Transport Corporation

(HRTC) has decided to cancel or change the routes of buses coming from Delhi to Himachal via Chandigarh. Around 200 bus routes are going to be affected on Friday till 5 pm. Next decision on the bus routes would be taken only after assessing the situation on Friday evening.

G S Bali said that section-144 has been imposed in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali, hence Haryana and Punjab Roadways has suspended all Chandigarh related routes till 72 hours.

He said that to ensure the safety of passengers travelling in HRTC buses decision has been taken to either cancel or change the routes of buses. He said that buses going from Shimla to Chandigarh will terminate their journey at Parwanoo.

Bali said that buses from Una and Bilaspur are still going to Chandigarh-43 ISBT, but routes can be suspended depending on situation. He said that HRTC buses on Chandigarh to Nahan-Dehradun line have been canceled.

Buses going from Himachal to Delhi will be canceled or will follow alternate routes, he added.
