Shimla: Himachal deputy chief minister Mukesh Agnihotri, while holding a review meeting with the officers of different departments at Haroli in Una district on Friday, issued strict instructions to the police to initiate measures to curb drug peddling and to deal sternly with those involved in illicit drug trade.
He issued the directions to install CCTV cameras on Haroli-Una bridge and to increase patrolling to catch anti-social elements.
Agnihotri said that all the officers should bring to his notice problems they were facing in their functioning, and also give suggestions or remedies as to how to overcome the same. He also directed to formulate a detailed proposal for strengthening the basic amenities and services in Haroli, Dulehar and Panjawar hospitals, besides completing the ongoing construction work of hospital buildings and to provide him a detailed report of the vacancies in the health institutions in the district.
