Congress in Himachal Pradesh has given false guarantees to people: BJP

SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh BJP president and MP Suresh Kashyap said that the Congress party in the state has given false guarantees to the people to grab power and now the government is reluctant to fulfil those guarantees.

He said that in the name of giving relief to the public, the Congress government is only closing the institutions. He said that BJP has started a signature campaign against the anti-people decisions of the government and after February 25, the party will protest against the decisions of the government at the district level.

Suresh Kashyap while addressing media persons in Shimla on Saturday said that the public had a lot of hope from the second cabinet meeting of the government because it has made big promises to the public but no major decision could be taken in the cabinet.

He said that only one matter was passed in the cabinet that the government will take a loan of two thousand crores.

He said that the head of the government is only crying about the loan taken by the previous regime but this government is also going to complete 3 months and till now this government has taken a loan of Rs 4500 crores. He said that the government had taken a loan of Rs 1000 crores in December last year, Rs 1500 crores in January and now Rs 2000 crores loan is being taken this month.

He said that this government has stopped the MLA fund and has not even given its last instalment and now the development fund which was sent to the Deputy Commissioner's office for public works has also been stopped. He said that the state government does not want development work on the ground as it was only concerned about its own pleasures.

He said that the cement industries in Himachal Pradesh has been closed for two months and the Congress government is not able to take any concrete steps as in this too the government's system seems to have failed completely.

The government should take concrete steps to solve this matter, he said.
