Shimla:
BJP legislator and party’s media in-charge Randhir Sharma on Wednesday said various decisions of the Congress govt and the Himachal Pradesh high court’s verdicts proved that the incumbent
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu dispensation had “failed on every front”.
Sharma cited the high court’s judgment pertaining to quashing of the appointment of six chief parliamentary secretaries (CPSs), attachment of the Himachal Bhawan at New Delhi and closure of 18 loss-making hotels of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) to prove his point.
The BJP MLA also said CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had made comments regarding a high court judge which was not right for democracy. On the contrary, the CM should ask his “friend and advocate general” whether he had properly pleaded the cases in the high court or not, said Sharma.
Sharma questioned the compulsion for the chief minister to save his friends – six former chief parliamentary secretaries – who made him spend crores of rupees to save their chair by hiring big lawyers in the high court and the Supreme Court, burdening the govt treasury. TNN
