Himachal Pradesh BJP president Dr Rajeev Bindal said on Monday that the Congress govt is preparing to celebrate its two-year term in Dec but people of the state are still waiting for the fulfilment of guarantees given to them ahead of the vidhan sabha elections.
Bindal said that 28 lakh women were to be given Rs 1,500 per month after the state govt’s first cabinet meeting but they are still waiting. “Our farmer brothers kept waiting for milk to be sold at Rs 100 per litre but two years have passed and nothing has happened,” he added. The BJP leader said that this promise also was to be implemented from the first cabinet itself.
Himachal BJP president said that 22 lakh electricity consumers of the state were directly cheated as they were promised 300 units of free electricity but the 125 units of free electricity that was already being given to them was also stopped.
