Is Marvel Cosmic Invasion coming to Xbox Game Pass?

The gaming community couldn't be happier with the announcement of Marvel Cosmic Invasion at the Nintendo Direct March 2025 event. This side-scrolling beat 'em up game by Tribute Games and published by Dotemu will deliver on that nostalgic return to the golden era of the side-scrolling arcade classic. However, one burning question still remains: Is Marvel Cosmic Invasion going to be on Xbox Game Pass?

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a side-scrolling brawler that has hand-drawn visual stylings owing much to the explosive colors popularized by '90s Marvel comic books. With gameplay likened to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, another hit from Tribute Games, players could expect smooth fighting mechanics and fun cooperative play with tons of fan-favorite Marvel characters.

The first lineup includes Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Storm, Phyla-Vell, Venom, and Nova. Given that this is a "first set" of characters, it is possible that even more big names will be revealed in the next few months. Battle starts in intense action with the characters going up against nasty enemies in a pretty side-scrolling affair.
While it is confirmed for Marvel Cosmic Invasion on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, there is not yet official confirmation as to whether it will arrive on Xbox Game Pass. After all, considering that Dotemu and Tribute Games' former release, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, was available on Game Pass at launch, many fans are crossing their fingers that a similar arrangement will be made between Microsoft and Marvel Cosmic Invasion.
The day-and-date launch on Game Pass has become a trend, especially for indie titles and retro-styled games. But thus far, Dotemu has not disclosed whether the new Marvel-related project will also be in Xbox Game Pass. With the release window drawing near, presumably, more will be said in respect of this speculation.

While set to launch at some point in 2025 for Marvel Cosmic Invasion, there is no specific date yet. Expectations for this title are very high, especially with fans of both Marvel and classic arcade brawlers. With a great development team, a great cast of characters, and high expectations for co-op fun, this is one of the most highly awaited titles this year.
