Shillong: People from all walks of life celebrated the 2586th Buddha Jayanti in the city today, reports Manosh Das. A large number of devotees thronged the Buddha Mandir at Forest Colony in Shillong, which is one of the oldest Buddhist shrines in the northeast, on the occasion. It was set up in 1935.
