Conrad hands over land for industrial unit

Shillong: CM Conrad K Sangma on Friday handed over land allotment documents for the setting up of an industrial unit in Mendipathar town at a function held at Mendipathar, headquarters of North Garo Hills.Thanking the chairman of Varun Beverages, Ravi Jaipuria, for his decision to set up the industrial unit in Mendipathar, Conrad said it has set the pace for private investments in the state and will transform the lives of the people of the area. The CM said the company will invest Rs 185 crore in the project, reports Manosh Das.
