BSF foils sugar smuggling bid to Bangladesh

Shillong: BSF troops intercepted three vehicles laden with 74,000kg of sugar meant for smuggling into Bangladesh and also apprehended two Indian nationals in East Khasi Hills, a spokesperson at the Meghalaya Frontier HQ said on Sunday, reports Manosh Das.

Two attempt to smuggle 5kgs of ganja worth 5 crore, arrested

The Air Intelligence Unit apprehended two individuals and their handler for attempting to smuggle 5 kgs of ganja worth Rs 5 crore from Bangkok. The contraband was found concealed in breakfast cereal boxes at Mumbai airport. A controlled operation led to the arrest of the handler intending to collect the narcotics outside the airport.
