SHILLONG: The Meghalaya assembly will hold its five-day autumn session from November 5, assembly commissioner and secretary, Andrew Simons said on Monday.
The calendar for the session was approved by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) chaired by Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh. The meeting was attended by deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong, leader of opposition, Mukul Sangma and United Democratic Party MLA from Shella assembly constituency, Balajied Kupar Synrem.

The Speaker said three days, November 5, 10, and 12 have been scheduled for government business, while November 9 and 11 have been allotted for private members’ business.
Responding to questions on whether there will be a question hour, he said, “Question hour will be there, but I will regulate the timing”. He added that Covid-19 protocols will be put in place to ensure the safety of all legislators, officers, and other attendees.
