Times Auto Expo-2017 begins in Salem

SALEM:The third edition of The Times of India’s ‘Auto Expo-2017’ kick-started at Sri Rathnavel Jayakumar marriage hall on Five Roads in the city on Friday.

Inaugurating the three-day expo, city police commissioner Sanjay Kumar said people in Salem have started to buy imported cars and bikes. “This expo would help them chose and buy imported cars and bikes,” he said. He lauded The Times of India for organising the expo.

delivered keynote addresses at the function. Earlier, deputy general manager of The Times of India, Coimbatore, P Balasubramanian welcomed the gathering.

Several top automobile companies including Audi, Mercedes Benz,

BMW

, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hyundai, Volvo, Tata and Maruthi-Suzuki and Multix have displayed their car models while Royal Enfield and UM Motors have displayed their bike models at the expo.

The latest and brand new cars of BMW, Tata Hexa, Volvo and Mercedes Benz were the major attraction at the expo. Similarly, sports bikes displayed in the expo attracted college students.
